Covid weaved her way around the world
From wet markets of Wuhan to Italy’s Milan,
Silently on boats and trains and airplanes
Unbeknownst until she spread like butter
Infectious rise caught everyone by surprise
The pandemic struck like a bat out of hell
A global catastrophe replete with fatality
Where restrictions abound and cities lockdown
At refuge in quarantine without a vaccine
Patiently waiting for normality to return
United through hope and sharing good faith
We’ll come out supreme when symptoms abate
But when the dust settles and all is resumed
A remembrance of corona will be subsumed.
Like every disruption in the annals of history
Covid will leave her mark to linger eternally
